At Confident Golfer we believer anyone has the ability to improve. We advocate a structured approach and this would include playing lessons from a recognized teaching professional. However if you look at all the great golfers on tour, they tend to have a team for different aspects. We fundamentally believe that a golfers approach to the mental side of the game is just as important to the playing side and in some case it can be far greater in terms of its ability to help you improve.
We have a 3 step approach that we take all our players through as outlined below.
-
1
Personal
The first step to a successful coaching plan is that is must be personal to you. No two golfers are the same and each form of development must be specific to your needs. This includes your level of skill, personality, commitment and dedication.
-
2
Relevant
In order to achieve success in bettering your current level as a player you need to ensue that the ideas are relevant to your own goals. There is no point in putting a plan together to achieve a handicap of scratch if your desire is simply to improve your level of acceptance or better your approach to the first tee. Perhaps it is simply to walk on and off the golf course with a smile on your face.
-
3
Achievable
Many golfers wish to break 100, whilst for others they want to be a single figure golfer. In order to achieve these goals it is imperative that a structured plan is put in place that you can consistently attain. We break the bigger, long terms goals into smaller bite size approaches. This ensures a level of commitment is continued without losing focus because on unrealistic targets.
